Copyright Policy
Your memories, your copyright. Here is how we handle intellectual property on YouRemember.
1. Ownership of user content
All content you create or upload on YouRemember — including photographs, voice recordings, written letters, and captions — remains your intellectual property. YouRemember claims no copyright over your memories.
By uploading content, you grant YouRemember a limited, revocable licence solely to store and display that content for the purpose of operating your account. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.
2. Ownership of the platform
The YouRemember platform itself — including its design, interface, code, logo, and brand — is protected by copyright and belongs to YouRemember.life. You may not reproduce, copy, or redistribute any part of the platform without written permission.
3. Content you upload
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any content to YouRemember. Do not upload:
- Photos or recordings of others without their consent
- Copyrighted material (music, images, films) you do not own or licence
- Any content that violates a third party's intellectual property rights
YouRemember is a private memory platform — content is stored for your personal use, not public distribution. Shared links you generate are your responsibility.
4. DMCA / Copyright infringement claims
If you believe that content on YouRemember infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to [email protected] containing:
- Your name, address, and contact details
- A description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed
- A description of where the infringing content is located on our platform (e.g., a shared memory link)
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf
- Your electronic or physical signature
We will respond to valid notices within 14 business days and take appropriate action, which may include removing the infringing content and notifying the uploader.
5. Repeat infringers
In accordance with applicable law, we will terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat copyright infringers.
6. Contact
All copyright-related correspondence should be directed to: [email protected]
